They have raised a $25M Series A from VCs and celebrities across sports, media and gaming. Thousands of creators and brands are using this platform to drive meaningful engagement and interact with audiences in a new and exciting way.



ABOUT THE ROLE

We're seeking a director-level business development executive. The person who takes on this new role will be integral to bringing the client's prediction product and technology to all types of businesses, content producers and technology platforms who in turn make the platform available to consumers. A successful candidate will have the proven ability to generate strong B2B contacts and close and manage partnerships of all sizes while working in a fast-paced startup environment which can be unpredictable at times. This position initially reports directly to the President, Business & Corporate Development and may from time to time have direct staff to manage.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

●  Develop partnership strategies and roadmaps by aligning to internal business priorities/key objectives

●  Navigate corporate organizations to reach decision-makers 

●  Run the end-to-end process of prospecting and closing deals with companies who will use our MiniGames technology to grow their business through increased engagement, retention and new revenue streams. 

●  Convince content companies and media brands to create and market high quality prediction and poll games using our product suite (embeds, content tools and AI)

●  Partner with internal leadership to refine targets and customize potential product solutions

●  Keep organized and updated tracking of prospect pipeline 

●  Create and manage forecasts and projections 

●  Deliver internal and external Quarterly Business Reviews

●  Communicate to leadership and troubleshoot main objections to closing deals 

●  Identify and implement creative solutions to overcoming obstacles to get deals closed 

●  Collaborate with the product, technology, talent and advertising teams to fully

understand all aspects of VersusGame’s business, leading to more effective partnerships

●  Research new partnership trends and opportunities

●  Lead responses to select RFPs (requests for proposals)



WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

  10-15 years of experience in business development or B2B sales. Specific experience working with digital publishers, media properties and consumer apps whose primary business model is ad-based and secondary business model is subscription or ecommerce-based.

  Hands-on experience with the end-to-end BD process of creating a target list, doing direct outreach, negotiating terms, contracting and relationship management.  

  Knowledge of popculture and major trends across a variety of categories including general news, politics, stocks, music, movies, tv, gaming, and sports.

  B2C and B2B video streaming, social media and gaming ecosystems

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  Strong presentation skills.

  Great analytical skills and experience building forecast models in Excel

  Ability to work independently as we are a fully remote company, working across time zones and countries

  Ability to take on limited travel to prospects, partners and conferences.
